Black storks

Other Nature areas of the province have the privilege of being protected for their special characteristics and for the high degree of biodiversity that they contain.

This is the case of numerous waterways that sprinkle the geography of Salamanca endowing it with freshness and life. Watercourses, lagoons, and reservoirs become privileged areas populated with all sorts of birds that use them for their hibernation or nesting.

In the cold days of the winter it is frequent to glimpse the silhouette of ducks, geese, cranes, garcillas, etc. in the clear sky that are replaced by other varied species when the climatic conditions warm and become mild at the beginning of the spring.
El azud de Riolobos, the laguna del Cristo or the riberas del Azaba, Huebra, Alagón, Águeda, Yeltes or Duero, among other, constitute magnificent enclaves where you can enjoy the view of species of great interest and beauty, making your journey a unique nature adventure.
