Field of Los Arapiles July 22nd, 1812, the allied armies faced the French army on these low hills. From that moment on, they were to enter Spanish history as the place where the epic battle of Los Arapiles happened. This tragic war is remembered in the Aula Histórica (History Classroom) located in the municipality of Los Arapiles. The historic Place is a few kilometers from the capital. El Bosque of Béjar This beautiful recreational village is on the outskirts of the City of Béjar. It is endowed with one of the most beautiful Renaissance gardens in all Castile and Leon. Because of the uniqueness of the enclosure, which was ordered to be built by the Dukes of Béjar in the XVI century, it has been declared an Historical Garden. Ponds, fountains, statues, shrines, etc., are surrounded by meadows, small forests and gardens, creating an Italian style harmonious area where you can take an enjoyable walk. |
